Cyprus Hydrocarbons Company (CHC) held a meeting with the President of the House of Representatives, Mrs Annita Demetriou on July 5th.
During the meeting CHC presented the roles and responsibilities of the company as well as the way it is contributes towards the activities in Cyprus’ EEZ. Also at the meeting CHC expanded on it newly assigned responsibilities regarding support of the government’s Green Economy policies and the actions the company will undertake such as the assessment of offshore renewable energy potential. Furthermore, the latest developments in the energy sector were discussed and how these can have a positive influence on the prospects of Cyprus’ natural gas discoveries.
The President of CHC, stated that the company is at the disposal of the House of Representatives and its Committees to provide technocratic information and to receive relevant feedback.
